A clean-up is a process of removing unwanted vegetation and accumulated debris, such as leaves, sticks, and other materials, from various areas of a property. These areas include buildings, landscape beds, lawns, driveways, and sidewalks. This process helps to keep the property looking neat, tidy, and well-maintained, and can also help to prevent potential problems such as pest infestations, plant disease, and soil erosion.

Benefits of Mulch:
Using mulch in landscape beds can bring several benefits to the plants, soil and overall appearance of the beds. Mulch is a material, such as wood chips, bark, or leaves, that is spread on top of the soil.
Some of the benefits of using mulch in landscape beds are:
Mulch can be made from various materials such as wood chips, bark, leaves, straw, and more. It is recommended to use organic mulch, as it will decompose and enrich the soil over time. When using mulch, it is important to keep it at the appropriate depth (usually around 2-3 inches) and to make sure it does not touch the base of the plants.

Rock is a great alternative to mulch. In this picture you can see some river rock on the left and a large area of crushed granite on the right. While these options are more expensive than mulch, crushed granite can cover a bed just as nicely. While the initial cost is more than mulch, there is much less maintenance over time than mulch. When installing, we highly recommend that the area has heavy duty landscape fabric laid on it. When installed correctly, this is an even better barrier than mulch.
With sod and seed, you can create new, usable space on your property for all kinds of activities! In this picture, this newly sodded area used to be an unused space of dirt, weeds, and random plants. We were able to transform this area from somewhere you never would even think about to an area that you can now use for anything. Sod and seed primarily do the same thing. They turn parts of your property that was not a lawn into a lawn. The biggest difference is that sod is faster in turning the area into a usable lawn, and cost more. Whether you go with sod or seed, the end result is the same, a beautiful lawn that you can enjoy for the years to come.
